A few points to remember by Duane Heath
At the times when we feel weakest, most lost or just like there is no way out, these are the times that we need to reach out and grab hold of the Lord and pull him in close. The time when we must not forget that he is in control. He is the ultimate navigator of our lives. We may not understand why BUT just know that the challenges that He bring before you are an example of the confidence He has in you, and if He has that much confidence in you THEN you should have that much confidence in yourself. Keep your focus on the Lord and his light will shine on your problems and make them seem like little ripples on the lake. He will never leave nor forsake you. He will never give you more than you can handle. Greater is He that is in you, than he is of the world. So when you are tempted remind Satan that he is already conquered. He has renewed us made us immune to sin. BUT we are not Him. He is perfection, we are not. If we were perfect His blood would be in vain, we would have no need for salvation. Even the great apostle Paul said “why do I find myself doing the things I don't want to do". God wants us to know always that it is only by His grace we will receive our inheritance at His right Hand. So if you forget that you are not perfect ..... Remember only Jesus was a perfect man ...... He paid the perfect price for you and for me to live out our imperfections. But as for me I want to try to live just like Him I want to be the best Christian I can be. I want my life to make a difference in a multitude of people’s lives, I want to bring them in teach them the gospel, let them realize the TRUTH. Equip them as disciples and send them out to gather the restof the flock. Time is running out and the end is near... we do not know when, only God knows, but bible tells of things that are happening around us. We need to be prepared every day..... We need to do everything as if Jesus himself was permanently standing with us. One day when I pass on and I go and meet the Lord I do not want to live on the outskirts in the squatter camps of heaven; because I was saved but just went through the motions...... I want to be seated at his right hand, I want to be right next to him for all eternity. This is my goal this is my purpose. The Lord has prepared me over so many years, all my dark experiences have prepared me, so that I would be equipped to preach and disciple those who need to know, that you can be freed from a life of darkness and have a NEW life, an actual purpose. To know the meaning of life, to realize that on Earth we are spirit being having a human experience in preparation for a life everlasting in heaven with our King. And so today and every day hence forth I will thank God for every experience in my past and for every blessing, challenge and tribulation in my future, because I realize that He always has had and always will have a perfectly executed plan and purpose for my life. And if He has plan for my life for me the hardest of hard the darkest of dark among sinners than He has a plan each and every person here on Earth My task is make them all realize this before it is too LATE.
